About Event

What if the future isn't something we wait for, but something we create together?

We Create Our Futures is a 3-day festival of Climate, Culture & Arts, taking over the Centre for Social Innovation in downtown Toronto, October 16–18.

For three days, we're bringing together artists, activists, neighbours, makers, thinkers, dreamers and doers to explore what a more beautiful, regenerative and connected future could actually feel like.

Expect art and music, food and fashion, engaging conversations, hands-on making, climate solutions, community wisdom, dancing, learning, repairing, imagining — and lots of unexpected encounters along the way.

 WHAT TO EXPECT

OCT 16 - FRIDAY NIGHT — "ARTIVISM" - 6PM - 11PM

We kick things off with a big, beautiful, slightly wild celebration of possibility. CSI transforms through music, performance, art, a Solarpunk fashion show, clothing swap, a sustainable marketplace and visions of a future worth wanting.

Come curious, dress up in your thrift flips or Solarpunk vision, wander, discover, meet people — and dance with us into the future.

SATURDAY — "CONNECTION" - 10AM - 9PM

Saturday is the heart of the festival: a day to gather, question, experiment and imagine together. We'll explore the future of democracy and food, our relationship with nature, climate and community, and new ways of living and relating to one another. Through conversations, workshops, creative experiences and collective practices, we're asking: What becomes possible when we stop trying to solve everything alone? The day flows into an evening of film, performance, music and social connection with others who care about what you care about.

SUNDAY — "ALIGNED ACTION" - 11AM - 6PM

Sunday gets practical — and Sunday is FREE!

Explore the Home Resilience Hub, where dozens of experts and solution providers can help you get your home climate-ready, from sump pumps to solar panels. Explore the Future of Finance, ask an incredible futurist anything about co-living and the future of housing, bring something broken to the Repair Café, learn to mend and upcycle, and rediscover Home Economics — from preserving food to saving money and reducing waste. It’s a day about bringing the future into everyday life: how we live, what we own, where we put our money, and how we take better care of our homes, our stuff and each other.

Sunday's Detailed Itinerary HERE

Across all three days, We Create Our Futures is an invitation to spend a weekend inside the future we actually want to create and thrive in: more connected, more creative, more resilient, more regenerative, more hopeful & a lot more fun.

Come for an hour. Come for a day. Come for the whole weekend.

The future is a collective project, none of us can create it alone.

Join us in this movement.
