Fridays @ UTS Startups: Confessions with Air2Energy
About Fridays @ UTS Startups
Fridays @ UTS Startups brings founders, builders and curious minds together for conversations about entrepreneurship, ideas and what it really takes to build something from the ground up.
Meet Kirah and Andrew
Kirah Godsell and Andrew Smithyman are the co-founders of Air2Energy, a climate tech startup that began through their time at UTS. Bringing together backgrounds in science, business, sustainability and innovation, they have taken an early university idea and developed it into a growing startup tackling a major climate challenge.
About Air2Energy
Air2Energy is developing technology focused on helping reduce emissions from infrastructure and industries that still rely on fossil fuels.
Rather than treating emissions simply as waste, the team is exploring ways they can be captured and turned into something useful, creating new possibilities for reducing environmental impact while supporting the transition toward cleaner energy.
Their work sits at the intersection of climate technology, energy and engineering, with the broader goal of making decarbonisation more practical and achievable for organisations operating existing infrastructure.
What to expect
Join Kirah and Andrew for a conversation about their journey, the evolution of Air2Energy and some of the experiences, challenges and lessons that have shaped the company so far.
