About Event

🌍 A hopeful film. A live Q&A with its director. Two cities watching together.

Presented by Benedict Cumberbatch (Doctor Strange, Sherlock Homes), with music by Hans Zimmer (The Lion King, Gladiator, Inception, Interstellar, Dune), Jacob Shea and Ho-Ling Tang, the film is directed and produced by Fredi Devas (Planet Earth II & III, Seven Worlds, One Planet), co-directed and executive produced by Jonnie Hughes (David Attenborough: A Life on Our Planet, The Hunt).

🌳 What if the answers to our biggest challenges already exist in nature?

How To Live On Earth is a cinematic feature documentary about how humanity can build a safe and thriving future by working with nature, not against it. Filmed around the world over more than two years, it follows scientists, Indigenous activists, farmers and economists who are already showing us how. This isn’t another film about doom. It’s a how-to guide for a future that is already within reach.

✨ How this night came to be
Social ChangeMakers Founder Rosi and Social ChangeMakers Network Hanoi Ambassador Philipp watched the Southeast Asia premiere in September at Impact Week Singapore, where we met director Fredi Devas. One heartfelt conversation later, we had his blessing to bring the film to Vietnam. On Tuesday night 3rd November, Hanoi and Saigon watch together, and then Fredi joins us live from the UK to answer your questions.
