Kyle has spent years exploring and documenting some of the wildest corners of China and beyond, combining photography, conservation, and endurance sport to tell stories about our relationship with the natural world. We’ll sit down with him to explore what adventure has taught him about pushing limits, crossing cultures, and using storytelling to protect the places we love.

About the Event:
Kyle Obermann has built an unconventional life at the intersection of adventure, storytelling, and conservation. From documenting remote wilderness and environmental movements across China to pursuing mountain running records around the world, his work asks a bigger question: How can the adventures we pursue change not only us, but our relationship with the natural world?
We’ll talk about the experiences that shaped him, the stories behind the lens, pushing physical and mental limits, and what he’s learned from building a life around curiosity and the outdoors.
And because this is our final gathering of 2026, we’re turning the rest of the night into a celebration of you...our community.
We’ll raise a glass to the adventures, friendships, and experiences of the past year and share a glimpse of what’s ahead for the Adventure Society 🏕️ in 2027.
