Join us Friday, July 24th for a celebration of artist Tom Relth's solo show, Rocks are Hard. Water is Wet. We'll have hors d'oeuvres, drinks, and the artist in attendance.
'Rocks are Hard. Water is Wet.' is on view from July 22nd through August 15th.
Tom Relth is a Pacific Northwest-based painter whose canvases move between abstraction and realism, drawing on nature and everyday objects. Working with traditional tube paints alongside dry mineral pigments and Nihonga techniques, Relth builds paintings around recognizable forms rendered in simplified, arbitrary color, stepping back again and again until each piece finally sits right.
