From Policy to Platforms: Delivering Clean Air and Inclusive Urban Mobility in Delhi-NCR and beyond
This session will examine how urban mobility innovation and air quality management must operate as an integrated system.
Delhi- NCR is at a crucial moment in its journey toward cleaner air and better mobility. With rising EV adoption, shared transport, and digital mobility tools, alongside persistent air quality challenges, the region is becoming a real-world testbed for how cities can move people more cleanly and efficiently.
This session brings together voices from government, industry, utilities, and research to explore a simple but important question: how do policy, technology, and governance actually work together on the ground? From AI-enabled traffic management and EV infrastructure to mobility data platforms and inclusive design, we’ll look at what’s working, what’s not, and what needs to change.
The discussion will focus on practical solutions that improve air quality while making urban mobility safer, more accessible, and more affordable, especially for women, gig workers, and low-income commuters. Lessons from Delhi-NCR will offer ideas cities across India and the Global South can learn from.
Who should attend: Urban leaders, mobility and climate practitioners, startups, investors, and anyone interested in building cleaner, people-first cities.
