Tech4Regen field visit: meet CompPair & Windworks
Join us for an exclusive tour at the forefront of startup labs industrializing next-generation materials and energy solutions for the circular economy.
On April 23, three startups from the Tech4Regen accelerator program—Windworks, CompPair, and Verretex—will host visits to their labs at Ateliers de Renens. This unique event offers participants the opportunity to explore real prototypes and industrialization processes, see technologies in action, and engage directly with disruptive startup teams.
CompPair develops repairable composite materials, enabling damaged high-performance components—such as those used in sports equipment, mobility, or energy—to be easily repaired rather than replaced. Their technology helps extend product lifetimes and reduce waste in industries that traditionally rely on difficult-to-recycle materials.
Windworks focuses on small-scale wind energy solutions, designing and building wind turbines adapted to local and decentralized use. Their approach aims to make wind power more accessible, modular, and suitable for urban or off-grid environments.
Program:
08:30 — Welcome coffee and introduction by Bertrand Klaiber, Tech4Regen Program Lead
09:00–10:30 — Startup visits and live demonstrations
About Tech4Regen:
Tech4Regen is an acceleration program from EPFL Innovation Park addressing critical breaches of planetary boundaries that increasingly challenge economic resilience and long-term prosperity.
The program identifies and supports high-potential startups developing nature-based and climate tech solutions, guiding them through industrialization and commercialization. Through tailored business coaching, pilot projects with industry partners, and access to international networks, Tech4Regen enables these solutions to scale and achieve real-world impact.
By fostering collaboration between scientific excellence, industry, financial stakeholders, policy makers, and entrepreneurs, Tech4Regen contributes to the transition toward a regenerative and circular economy—one that restores natural systems while creating sustainable economic value.
