Light Dao Guest Speaker: Tom Rossman

Breakout 8pm: Sustainable Cities of the Future - Designing for Shared Prosperity

What would it take to design a city - or a community - that actually works for people and the planet?

Join Shelley Tanner from Light DAO as we hear from Telosa advisor Tom Rossman for an intimate conversation exploring a new model for sustainable development based on three essential (and often siloed) pillars:

  1. Economics – ownership, land value, and equitable systems

  2. Physical/Environmental – regenerative design and climate resilience

  3. Social – belonging, trust, and inclusive community

In this session, we’ll ask: Why have most utopian cities failed? What happens when we design for prosperity without including the environment or social connection? And how do we create a virtuous cycle where land ownership, public investment, and human connection reinforce one another?

Tom Rossman, senior advisor to the Telosa Community Foundation and board member of the Henry George School, has spent decades exploring how economic and land systems can uplift entire populations - not just the privileged few. He’ll share lessons from past city experiments, his work with Telosa, and how conscious entrepreneurs and investors can be part of this next wave of systems innovation.

Whether you're an investor, founder, or someone building the next thing - this is a rare opportunity to hear insight and foresight regarding the edge of what’s next for our cities.

This is a breakout session hosted by Light DAO as part of PSYCA’s Climate & Mental Health Conference for Climate Week.

Members often connect for dinner or drinks after the salon.
