From Plate to Planet: Conversation & Cocktails with Puneeta Chhitwal-Varma – Canadian author of Good Food, Healthy Planet, named one of the Top Cookbooks by The Globe and Mail and National Post.

This interactive evening invites you to explore the connection between what’s on our plate and the health of our planet.

  • Enjoy tastings from local chefs featuring climate-friendly, plant-forward dishes, each labeled with its carbon and water footprint.

  • Browse our “ugly produce” table to see food waste in a new light.

  • Join a lively 30-minute conversation with Puneeta on sustainable cooking, food justice, and everyday climate action.

  • The night wraps up with networking and a signed book sale ($35 incl. tax) with discounts, leaving you inspired to make meaningful change - one bite at a time.

What to expect:

  • 5:30 – 6:15 pm – Arrival, networking & sustainable food tasting stations. Check out our Food Fact Wall to explore the intersection of food and climate action.

  • 6:15 – 6:45 ~ 7:00 pm – A conversation with Puneeta Chhitwal-Varma, author of Good Food, Healthy Planet.

  • 6:45 – 7:30 pm – More food tasting, book sales, and networking.

  • Carrot & lentil hummus with herb yogurt crostini (plant-based)

  • Celery-root croquette

  • Served with alcoholic & non-alcoholic beverages.
