AI Tools in Developer Workflows - Panel discussion
AI is changing how dev teams work. This moderated panel will dig into what’s useful, what’s hype, and how AI fits into real JS/web workflows. Whether you’re curious, skeptical, experienced, or just trying to keep up, there will be some nuggets in here for everyone! Feel free to bring your own questions for our panelists too.

Moderator:
Ryan Soeder is the Director of Web Development at small digital agency. Ryan believes that code should solve real problems for real people. There are no bad languages, everything is interesting if you pay attention, and if you’re not having fun, do something else.

Panelists:
Jess Wang is a former SWE at Microsoft and DoorDash, now a DevRel in the startup world. Spent ~4 years at Warp and recently joined Braintrust working on AI observability. Passionate about developer education, content creation, and plays a lot of pickleball/football/frisbee/tennis in her free time.

Allan Deutsch used to work on Xbox and gaming services at Microsoft, build game engines, and help shape C++ through the standards committee. For the past 4 years, he's been building in the web space at startups. Currently Allan is the founder of Doc Duck, a tool for teams to get actionable feedback inline in their developer docs. He is also a SeattleJS organizer and public speaker.

Dave Laird is building AI for auditors. They're professional skeptics whose jobs depend on getting deterministic results. It's taught him a lot about designing AI that earns trust rather than just demanding it. That same skepticism shapes how Dave uses AI in his own dev workflow.
