It’s truly a pleasure to welcome you to our Finance for Nature and Biodiversity Cocktail, a Global Roots Initiative proudly co-hosted and powered by Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) and the ClimateShot Investor Coalition (CLIC).
At Global Roots, our mission is simple yet urgent: to accelerate solutions to the biodiversity crisis by connecting high-potential, innovation-driven ventures with the global networks, capital, and partners they need to scale. We believe climate, biodiversity, and nature-based solutions are not niche spaces, but some of the most critical and investable opportunities shaping the future of our planet.
But Global Roots was also created for something equally important: to build community. We exist to act as connective tissue in a highly fragmented ecosystem; to bring together founders, investors, foundations, corporates, policymakers, and ecosystem builders who too often work in parallel, despite sharing the same goals.
We are especially grateful to our partners CPI and CLIC whose support makes it possible to create spaces like this. The CLIC Connector bridges a critical gap in climate and nature finance by mobilizing investment for resilient, secure, and sustainable agrifood systems. It connects climate- and nature-positive agribusinesses with impact-driven investors.
