The Biotech R&D Blueprint: Accelerating Seed to Series A Readiness with Google Cloud
Whether you are currently raising or refining your technical moat, the path to the landmark Seed to Series A is defined by how quickly you can validate hypotheses, scale your computational assets and expand your product portfolio. This isn't a high-level "vision" talk; it’s a hands-on technical session for the scientists and computational leaders building the next generation of therapeutics and materials.
Google Cloud is hosting an exclusive technical deep dive designed for Stealth to Seed-stage startups looking to move towards Seed to Series A readiness. We are moving beyond "idea formation" and into high-velocity execution.
The Mission
In this session, you will move from manual discovery to automated insight by:
Building a Private Scientific Brain: Deploying a RAG-based knowledge engine using Vertex AI to ground your research in PubMed’s massive repository of biological literature (Q&A in natural language powered by Gemini)
Solving the GPU Bottleneck: Master the strategies for securing high-performance compute at scale. Whether you are focused on synthetic data generation, molecular dynamic simulations, or other intensive workloads, you will learn how to navigate GPU availability and optimise costs to ensure your infrastructure never slows down your science.
Note:
Bring Your Own Laptop: This is a hands-on "builder" session
IP Safety First: You will not be asked to use or upload your proprietary data. To ensure a secure and standardised learning environment, we will provide curated PubMed datasets
Onboarding Support: If your application is approved, the Google Cloud team will reach out to help you configure your environment and ensure the prep work is completed before you arrive
Preparation: As part of the registration, we are asking for your company email and contact phone number so the Google team can reach out to help you configure your environment with you and ensure the prep work is completed before the event. Lead time can take a couple weeks so we will aim to reach out to you asap once you registered. Thanks!
Agenda
1:00 – Registration and Welcome
1:30 – Special Guest: The Future of AI-Driven Discovery
2:00 – AI Co-Scientist: Stop manual literature reviews. Learn to build an AI-driven research assistant using Vertex AI and PubMed on BigQuery. This session provides the technical blueprint for a RAG engine that cross-references global biological knowledge, giving you a scalable framework to accelerate discovery once you return to your own lab environment
4:00 – GPU Strategy: In this day and age when GPU capacity is scarce, we will share a masterclass on obtaining compute to optimise for performance, cost and availability
4:45 – Wrap Up, Drinks & Networking
