Portland | Claude Code | Builders Night with Topher
Pull up your terminal. Open Claude Code. Let's build.
This is a casual evening for Portland's AI builders to experiment, ship, and hang out — no pressure, no pitch decks, no judging. Just a room full of people who want to build things with AI and see what's possible.
Claude Code Builders Night is hosted by PDX Hacks and led by Topher — an engineer and builder who's been deep in the Claude Code ecosystem and wants to share what he's learned (and learn from you).
What to expect
Come experiment with Claude Code in a low-stakes environment. Whether you're running it for the first time or you've already got it wired into your workflow, there's something here for you.
You might: ship a small project from scratch, get unstuck on something you've been building, pair up with another builder, or just watch what's possible over someone's shoulder.
You'll fit right in if you're a... → Developer curious about AI-native coding → Founder or designer who wants to build their own tools → Engineer already using Claude, Codex, or Cursor — and want to go deeper → Complete beginner who's never opened a terminal (seriously, come anyway)
Bring
Laptop (optional but recommended)
Claude Code installed if you have it (we'll help you get set up if not)
A project idea, a half-built thing, or just curiosity
Grab a drink. Pull up a chair. Let's see what you can ship.
Free to attend. All skill levels welcome.
PDX Hacks is Portland's AI builder community — running events, hackathons, and hands-on education across the Portland/Vancouver metro.
