Conditions for Collaboration Under Algorithmic Pressure is the second of two free public sessions connected to Parallel Playground, a residency by UKAI Projects and World Creation Studio. While Session 1 asked why this work exists, Session 2 turns to how—opening up the residency’s design as a working case study in building collaboration under the conditions the first session explored: extraction, homogenization, and the compulsion to never stop participating in the churn.
In this session, we'll:
Discuss designing for conditions rather than outcomes
Explore what it means to build infrastructure and to change one’s relationship with it
Open the floor to questions from individuals and organizations considering their own creative practice or program design that supports better collaboration across disciplines

Real-world program-design insights you can take into your own work both in organizational settings and independent practices
Why This Session Matters Now
What happens within a residency program is usually invisible—participants experience the schedule before the reasoning behind it. This session makes that reasoning visible by treating Parallel Playground's structure as an example of collaborative work across UKAI Projects, World Creation Studio, and program participants.
