Altera Meetup: Hollywood Meets the Frontier

Tom Danon is directing an AI-generated series for Amazon Prime right now. Three decades ago he was self financing indie movies with credit cards. Somewhere in-between he edited 'The Hills,' produced 'Vanderpump Rules,' and became the person Hollywood calls when it needs to figure out what comes next.

Joining us virtually, Tom will walk through his career trajectory, starting as an independent filmmaker, through three decades of premium television, to becoming an AI director and showrunner working inside a traditional Hollywood studio system. He'll get into what he's building right now, what that shift into AI production actually looks like from inside the studio, and where he thinks entertainment and independent creators are headed from here.

Then Jason Gandy, Adobe Firefly Ambassador, joins us in person to show the other side of the coin, real production speed. He'll walk through his Firefly workflow live, then lead a hands-on Firefly exercise so you leave having actually built something.

Who it's for

Filmmakers and creatives who want to see how traditional storytelling craft and modern AI production speed actually work together, not in theory.
