Bitcoin LARP
All Hawaii-based college and high school students, faculty and teachers are welcome to join us to play the world famous Base58 Bitcoin LARP!
The Bitcoin LARP is a live-action roleplay game, in which groups of people play as bitcoin nodes (computers that run Bitcoin). It is FREE to attend.
As the rules of the game are true to the protocol, the Bitcoin LARP is a tangible, alternative way to learn about the fundamentals of how Bitcoin works at the protocol level.
After this 2 - 3 hour game, participants develop a basic understanding of how Bitcoin nodes:
- construct & validate transactions
- communicate with other nodes in the Bitcoin network
- construct & validate blocks
- mine & build their blockchains
No prior experience or knowledge needed; just an interest to learn! Parents of high school students who would like to accompany their child at this event, please email [email protected].
