About Event

Panel event moderated by Indigenous Climate Action's Carole Monture. Panelists include Giselle Honcha (Mohawk Six Nations of the Grand River) 2 more TBD. We will have a candid discussion on the interconnected nature of climate change set against the backdrop of international uncertainty and the urgent need to divest from fossil fuels. We will highlight the work being done at ICA and other Indigenous organizations as the remedy for this. We want Indigenous community members to attend but also welcome anyone who is willing to take on this work alongside our communities in the pursuit of building a better world together.

About the Host: Indigenous Climate Action (ICA) is an Indigenous-led organization guided by a diverse group of Indigenous knowledge keepers, water protectors and land defenders from communities and regions across the country. We believe that Indigenous Peoples’ rights and knowledge systems are critical to developing solutions to the climate crisis and achieving climate justice.
