Feeling screen-fried? Slow down with color and paint something that smiles back—your own bright alebrije. Celebrate Mexican folk art as you bring a small wooden creature to life with bold patterns and playful detail.


What to Expect

  • Quick origin story of alebrijes + respectful context

  • Pattern + mark-making demos (dots, lines, motifs)

  • Guided flow: color-block → layer details → seal

  • Mini photo corner for your creature’s debut

  • All Supplies: 2 alebrije figures, paints, brushes, sealer

  • ☕️ Includes: drink ticket (coffee, tea, or sparkling water)

  • 👽 Limited spots: 10 seats • 👥 Age: 21+

Bring (optional)

  • Paint-friendly clothes or a light apron

  • A small pouch/box to carry pieces home safely

  • Any color/pattern inspo you love (photos welcome)

You’ll Leave With

  • 1–2 finished alebrijes (palm-size)

  • A pattern toolkit you can reuse

  • Calmer shoulders + a new Art Club friend


Materials & Makers

Hand-carved in Oaxaca by the Santiago Lopez family. We return 25% of ticket revenue to their studio to help sustain the craft.
