Elnora & EFS AI Workshop 1 — AI Agents: What's Actually Possible
Your hackathon ticket includes both pre-hackathon workshops, Workshop 1 (June 8) and Workshop 2 (June 10), and Build Day (June 12). Get your hackathon ticket here and register separately for individual workshops (included in hackathon ticket price).
Most people are using AI to write emails. We are using it to run our company. The gap between those two is much bigger than it looks, and it widens every day.
Carmen Kivisild (CEO & Founder) and Risto Jamul (CTO) built Elnora AI — an AI agent that automates preclinical lab work for biotech and pharma customers. Then they built tens more agents for themselves to run the rest of the company: finance, accounting, marketing, slide decks, reading and writing email, project management, contracts, website, compliance. Today every aspect of the company is automated, and 100% of the production code is written by agents.
You'll see it all live, from Carmen's own setup. Every concept you've heard about — agents, plugins, marketplaces, MCP servers, CLIs, skills, sub-agents, and the configuration files that hold it all together — gets introduced by watching it do real work: reading email, searching the company knowledge base vault (2,000+ documents), creating Linear tickets, running parallel competitive research, chaining tools together for long tasks, and more.
By the end of the workshop you'll have a billion ideas of how your company could be using agents. On Wednesday, Workshop 2 gets your first repo started, your agents installed, and you ready to build. On Friday, the hackathon is where you put the knowledge and the setup to work and build incredible things. Your life will never be the same.
Bring your hardest questions and craziest ideas.
Who this is for
EFS members building the next generation of Estonian companies
Startup founders ready to build and move like a team 10x their size
Startup community partners from Startup Estonia, accelerators, universities, and the wider ecosystem
Corporate executives and employees with budgets and decision-making power who want to adopt AI
Government and public-sector teams modernising how the country runs
What we'll cover
1. What agents are
Chat AI vs. agents
Where agents actually live — the terminal, not the browser
What turned AI from chatbot to worker
What every agent is really made of
English/Estonian as the programming language
How to use agents safely
2. Agent 101 — concepts and the hackathon toolset
A walk through the main concepts you need to know and the toolset you'll use at the hackathon: agent configuration files, modes, plugins and marketplaces, MCP servers, skills, sub-agents, automation hooks, GitHub repos, the Obsidian knowledge base vault, IDEs, and the CLIs Carmen reaches for every day — Claude Code in the terminal, GitHub CLI, web search (Exa, Tavily, Perplexity), workflow tools (Linear, Slack, Google Workspace), and MCP servers for live external connections.
3. A live tour through Carmen's private repo and agents
Carmen runs through how she actually uses agents every day, live — her favourite agents and tools and how she puts them to work for her.
4. Q&A — "What would YOU build?"
Now that you've seen the pieces, what's the most ambitious thing you'd build for your company?
You leave with
A clear working mental model of what AI agents are and what they can do today.
The vocabulary to talk about it: LLM, tools, context, permissions, CLIs, MCP servers, skills, plugins, marketplaces, sub-agents, automation hooks.
A look inside the exact production setup that runs Elnora.
A concrete sense of what you want to build for your own company.
Format
In person in Tallinn. Recorded; the recording is shared with all registrants afterwards. No laptop required for this workshop.
Speaker
Carmen Kivisild — Scientist by training, now CEO and founder of Elnora AI. In 5 months went from never having written a line of code to building tens of agents that run her entire company. With a forward-deployed model she now trains founders and executives to do the same. She has trained tens of scientists to adopt AI agents in biomedical labs and run hackathons and workshops across the US. Companies she has worked with see 75%+ agent adoption across their teams.
