Build the Climate Tool You Wish Existed
Can you code? I can't.
Yet with Lovable, I've built websites, interactive pages and early prototypes for my climate work. Sometimes making a rough first version that someone can actually click teaches you more than another week of talking about the idea.
I'm hosting a free virtual hour for people working in climate who have a tool or workflow they wish existed, but haven't known where to start.
We'll take one small problem and build a first version using plain language in Lovable. I'll use an example from my own work: a short pre-meeting intake that helps organise the questions I'd ask a climate founder about their project's financing needs. We'll use completely made-up information, not real founder data or investment assessments.
Together, we'll:
Pick one user and one job worth making easier.
Show how to build a first clickable version in Lovable.
Test what makes sense to someone else, spot what doesn't, and choose one improvement.
You'll see the rough edges too. That's part of building.
🎁 Free Lovable Pro credits for live participants
Everyone who joins us live can receive one month of Lovable Pro Plan 1 (100 credits) at no cost to keep building after the workshop. Lovable has provided a limited set of attendee codes, which we'll share during the session. We'll walk you through how to use them together.
Who should come? Climate founders, scientists, finance people, operators, community builders, and anyone who's decided they're “not technical.” Questions and healthy scepticism welcome.
What to bring: One small task you wish were easier and a laptop. If you'd like to build along, create a free Lovable account using my invitation link before we begin. It's my referral link, so I may receive a benefit if you later upgrade to a paid plan. You can also sign up directly at lovable.dev. You're equally welcome to watch and ask questions. Please use dummy or public information, not confidential company data.
We won't build a polished production app in 60 minutes. The aim is to leave knowing how to start, how to test an early version, and what to try next.
Free, virtual, Thursday 5 November, 3–4 PM GMT. Joining details will be shared before the session.
