Startup Week - Idler Fireside

Idler (YC S25) makes reinforcement learning environments and evals that frontier AI labs use to train and measure their models, built from production work at operating companies. They raised a $9M seed led by Paradigm in August.

CEO Ivan Chub and CTO Tony Goss both come out of Dark Forest and 0xPARC, and co-founder Nalu Concepcion runs their environment work. The founders will talk about how they build RL environments and what they look for when hiring. Idler has open engineering and research roles in SF, and they’re looking for new grads!
