Pop-X Berlin
Building the d/acc Internet: Resilient Infrastructure, Privacy, and the Open Commons
Ethereum builds on top of the open and free internet and pushes the boundaries of censorship-resistance, privacy and open source. But is this freedom and openness by default?
Pop-X Berlin is an evening on Ethereum, AI safety, Privacy, Open Source, and hacker culture in Berlin.
🗓 June 4 · 18:00–21:30
📍 Full Node
Co-hosted by UETH and Geode Labs
Sponsored by Gnosis
Why you should join?
The world is drifting. Digital infrastructure, financial rails, communication networks, quietly consolidating around a handful of intermediaries. AI surveillance has matured faster than regulation. Platform consolidation has accelerated. Legal and institutional resistance is losing ground.
Hackers have long said that when the permitted instruction set no longer allows effective resistance, you find other instructions - you build systems that execute the commands the dominant machinery refuses to run.
This is what d/acc points toward: decentralized, democratic, differential defensive acceleration. An infrastructure that is resilient, private, and sustained by open communities that won't disappear when pressure mounts. Vitalik Buterin has written about this, and the Ethereum Foundation's recent sharpening of focus around CROPS (censorship resistance, openness, privacy, and security) is a concrete expression of it.
Ethereum is one attempt to rebuild part of the stack, a neutral, censorship-resistant protocol layer that no single party can shut down or capture. We have limited time to figure this out. That's what we're here to talk about.
