Pollinate Youth Climate Courage: Songwriting Workshop
Some of the best movements in history have had a soundtrack. This is your chance to write one.
On Thursday 12th November, we are hosting a free songwriting workshop for young people already involved in climate action. Led by experienced songwriters and performers, Chisara Agor and Phoebe Jasper, the afternoon is built around one idea: climate courage. What does it take to keep showing up, speak up and stay hopeful when the challenge feels enormous? And how does that sound as a song?
What to expect
Over an afternoon of facilitated writing, sharing and experimenting, you will explore your own experiences of climate action, turn them into lyrics and melodies, and leave with the beginnings of a song you can call your own.
Curiosity and a willingness to try things are all that is required.
Where
We will be at Treo House, a former pickle factory turned creative coworking space, now home to designers, policymakers, think tanks and changemakers. It is a fitting backdrop for an afternoon about turning ideas into something that moves people.
Who it is for
Young people aged 16 to 30 from London and the South East who are already involved in climate action, whether through a campaign, a collective, a college society or a community project. If you care about the planet and want to find a new way to express it, you belong in this room.
The workshop is supported by the Youth Climate Collaborative.
