10 Ways to Unlock Affordable Housing - Design Exhibition and Panel Discussion

​We would like to invite you to join us on Freedom Day, 27 April, for “10 Ways to Unlock Affordable Housing”. A conversation about design, policy, and what it actually looks like to build a more equitable Cape Town.

​Hosted by the NowNow Design Competition and Ndifuna Ukwazi, the event brings together a curated panel of voices from policy, architecture, and urban development to engage honestly with one of the city's most urgent challenges and long-term opportunities. 

​The morning will open with a coffee on us, and a walk through a selection of exhibited housing proposals, followed by a moderated discussion exploring how design thinking can connect to real implementation and what still stands in the way.

​We look forward to a discussion that is both robust and grounded, and to continuing the long conversation about who the city is being built for.
