Brain Emulation Debate
Ahead of our Defeating Entropy Hackathon on radical life extension technologies, join us for an evening bringing together hackathon participants, advisers, and guests. The evening will also feature the inaugural SoTA Debates, co-organised with the London Longevity Network, centred on the motion:
“Can Whole Brain Emulation Deliver Radical Life Extension?”
Debaters
Christian Larsen — Cofounder & COO of NethoLabs, working on whole-brain neuroscience and whole-brain emulation technologies.
Daniel Burger — Cofounder & Chief Scientist at the Synconetics Organization and Neuroengineer at EightSix Science, a company developing biohybrid gradual brain replacement and functional brain extraction technologies.
The debate will be moderated by Levan Bokeria, cofounder of SoTA. The format combines elements of Oxford- and Cambridge-style debating, with audience participation including floor speeches and extended Q&A.
This event launches the new SoTA Debates series, aiming to create a forum for high-stakes discussions on frontier technoscientific questions.
Register for the Defeating Entropy Hackathon. Attendance will be prioritised for hackathon contestants.
