The Shine On Summit is an annual event aiming to advance the ideas and perspectives of underrepresented folks in tech, guided by our belief in the power of supporting and shining on each other as the catalyst of our collective growth.
This year’s theme is Dare to Do. It may sound cheesy, but taking action is often easier said than done. The Shine On Summit 2026 is for people who are ready to take action… on their ideas, their careers, their communities, and themselves.
Our Big Question: What is the next right action, big or small, that will move me closer to the life I actually want to live?
You've done the inner work. You've had the conversations, asked the hard questions, sat with the discomfort. Now it's time to move. Whether you're building something from scratch, navigating what's next inside an organization, or figuring out who and what to surround yourself with, this is the room for you.
This isn't a conference. It's a space where we get honest about what it actually takes to do the thing, and then we do it together. We'll dig into the plans, the purpose, and the people that make action possible, because the best next steps rarely happen alone.

You've got the idea. Maybe you've even started. But somewhere between the inspiration and the execution, things get messy. The Plan is where you'll work through your actual next steps. You'll leave with a concrete structure for your next right thing: a system, a timeline, a plan you can act on the moment you walk out the door.
The Purpose – A fireside conversation about why action can be so hard and what moves us anyway.
Sometimes the hardest part of doing the thing isn't knowing what to do. It's getting out of your own way long enough to do it. Guided by your questions, The Purpose explores what action really looks like, especially for women, and what gets in the way. Come ready to be honest, be moved, and leave with a clearer sense of what's driving you forward.
The People – Structured, intentional networking with folks who get it.
The right people at the right time can change everything. The People is designed to put you in the room with folks navigating something similar, whether that's a career pivot, a new venture, or figuring out where you belong. No awkward small talk. Just real conversation, shared reflection, and connections that actually last.
