SCHEDULE

  • 2:30 PM: Welcome + upcoming event overview

  • 2:40 PM: Research on a pre-dynastic foot from Armant Rachel Cotton

  • 3:00 PM: Cancer in ancient Egypt: A disease beyond time Gerrit zur Hausen

  • 3:20 PM: Crime in ancient Egypt: 20th century golden age detective fiction Emma Curryer

  • 3:40 PM Construction of the Great Pyramid with pulley-like systems using counter-weights on sliding-ramps Simon Scheuring

  • 4:00 PM: Isis Campensis: Artifact Diaspora around Rome Melissa Aurigemma

  • 4:15 PM: Thank you + conclusion

WHAT: We will be hosting a Summit for alumni and community members to present their research and topics of interest. Research can be wholly independent or affiliated with an academic institution (provided that you are permitted to share the work). For the avoidance of doubt and out of respect for ongoing/unpublished work, the Summit will not be recorded or made available in any other format.

WHEN: On Saturday, April 18th, the Summit will begin at 2:30 PM BST. Time zone conversions below for reference. Register here to attend.

FORMAT: The Summit will be virtual and hosted on Zoom by MEAA. All are welcome to attend, we ask that you register in advance.
