Textile Journeys; weaving from waste
Textile Journeys; weaving from waste
So often we don’t think twice about the little pieces, but when we bring them all together we step into the possibility of weaving a whole new story.
Join us in a space where we empower ourselves through the art of weaving ~ an ancient practice that has traveled through time, cultures, and unexpected geographies.
In this 2,5 hour workshop we will learn about the history and cultural context of weaving and then be guided through the technique on lap-sized looms, bringing scraps of cloth back to life by making a woven coaster or mini wall tapestry.
All materials will be provided, but you’re invited to bring a piece of clothing you no longer wear to integrate into your creation. ✨
