Opennote (YC S25) x Waterloo Venture Group Build Sprint
On March 2, we’re turning the UWaterloo Eng buildings into a live testing ground. Opennote (the S25 YC-backed wizards rewriting the notebook that thinks with you) is teaming up with Waterloo Venture Group for a high-stakes scavenger hunt meets mini-hackathon. You’ll be hunting down QR codes, tinkering with problems in the Opennote platform, and solving problems in real-time under a ticking clock.

The timeline
12:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Lunch on us. We’re kicking off with a raw AMA with Vedant Vyas, Opennote Co-Founder and COO. Ask the spicy questions about YC + building in SF.
1:00 PM – 2:00 PM: The Sprint. You’re on the clock. Find the codes, solve the logic, build the solution.
2:00 PM – 3:00 PM: The Aftermath. Dessert, high-vibe decompression, and crowning the victors.
How to participate
Form a crew of 2-4 fellow students. Every member must register individually and include the same team name.
Don't have a team? You can also register solo to be matched or participate on your own.
Bring a laptop, a lethal level of curiosity, and a teammate you’d trust when the server goes down at 3:00 AM.
