Claude for Climate: Ideas Jam
Presented by the UBC Sauder Centre for Climate and Business Solutions | Part of #PNWClimateWeek
What happens when you put AI tools in the hands of people who care about climate?
Join us for Claude for Climate: Ideas Jam, a relaxed, community-driven evening exploring how AI tools can support climate action.
The Format
We're bringing together people curious about climate and technology. A handful of selected participants share short, informal ideas on how AI tools like Claude could be applied to climate challenges, followed by open conversation, questions, and connection.
Expect early-stage concepts, practical use cases, and creative thinking. Whether you're building, exploring, or just curious, this is a space to exchange ideas and meet others working at the intersection of AI and climate.
*IMPORTANT: This event is not about pitching new AI startup ideas. It's about sharing how climate professionals are using AI tools to support their work, and learn from each other.
Want to Share Your Idea? Let us Know via the Registration Form!
Submit your interest when registering. We’ll select a number of ideas to feature during the event, but the evening is designed as a space where everyone can participate, exchange ideas, and connect.
Ideas can span a wide range of climate applications, including:
Climate education & awareness
Behaviour change and personal action
Business and corporate sustainability
Climate data, research, and analysis
Energy and decarbonization
Transportation and mobility
Food systems and agriculture
Waste and circular economy
Climate adaptation and resilience
Climate justice and equity
Policy, advocacy, and civic engagement
Or entirely new emerging approaches
A Note on AI and Climate
We know AI tools consume energy and water. That tension is real and worth naming. This evening isn’t about ignoring that reality. It’s about focusing on how we can use these tools thoughtfully and effectively in service of climate work.
By registering for this event, you agree to share your registration information with the organizers of PNW Climate Week, receive communications about PNW Climate Week, and acknowledge that photos and videos may be taken for promotional use.
