Church of Creationships #8: From Idea to Demo

​church of creationships sunday service for people who build things.

a muralist, a software engineer, and a philosopher sit at the same table and build what none of them could build alone. what they make together didn't exist until they were in the same room. we call these creationships — the specific intimacy forged through shared effort, sensemaking, and moral imagination.

​we gather every sunday in the east village to practice it.

​the premise the next few years are going to ask a lot of us. relationships formed through creating together compound — week over week, person by person. this is a seed, planted now, for what communities will need.

​three currents, one practice

• ​new tech — ai agents, vibe coding, prompt craft, embodied ai, synthetic reality, the intention economy

• ​forever human — indigenous wisdom, earth kinship, embodiment, everyday mysticism, friendship, craftsmanship, storytelling

• ​the bridge — sensemaking, tech ethics, stewardship

​where they cross is where something emergent comes alive.

​the ritual

• ​11:30 — settle in. doors open, order food, find a seat, ground in.

• ​12:00 — community pulse. a narrative spark to anchor how we'll move together.

• ​12:30 — vision casting. pitch a project, a problem, or a skill.

• ​1:00 — the build. two hours of deep, collaborative work.

• ​3:00 — show and tell. we share what we made and witness each other. something is alive now that wasn't at noon.

​the shape of it

• ​high-signal, low-ego. serious craft, playful execution.

• ​we call it church because we show up every sunday and something happens. no dogma. nothing to follow but your creativity.

• ​bring a laptop, sketchbook, or prototype. a napkin idea or a very good question. something playful. a heart for the community.

​rooted in place and relationship. space is limited to preserve the depth of the room — we prioritize those looking for a consistent sunday practice. the work and the friendships deepen when you return.
