Startuplab Ocean Summit 2026

What will build the next wave of ocean unicorns? What are the technologies, business models and market shifts that will shape the next decade of ocean innovation, and where will the strongest opportunities for large scale growth emerge?

Startuplab Ocean Summit is a focused, invitation-only gathering bringing together the most ambitious ocean technology founders from the Nordics with leading industry players and international VCs.

Taking place from April 19 to 20, the Summit is built for meaningful conversations and real connections across maritime, aquaculture, logistics, robotics, data and AI, offshore energy, security, and dual-use.

The summit is hosted in Bergen, Norway’s ocean hub. With its deep heritage in seafaring, engineering, and marine operations, and its unique setting between seven mountains at the gateway to the fjords, Bergen is a natural place to explore the next generation of category-defining ocean companies.

Capacity is limited, and the event is invitation-only. Registration is required and subject to approval.

We look forward to welcoming you to Bergen in April.

Some of our speakers:

Sunday, April 19th

09:00 · Morning run & coffee

Easy run around the Bergen harbor. Obviously optional, but what better way to start the day?

13:00 · Mount Fløyen funicular & hike

An easy four kilometer scenic round trip with what might be the best view in Bergen. A traditional cinnamon bun awaits before we head back down to the city around 4 pm.

18:00 · Welcome dinner

We will eat and drink onboard the Norwegian tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl, a three masted steel barque built in 1914 and a floating ambassador for the UN Ocean Decade. Sea shanties are to be expected.

Monday, April 20th

06:30 · Morning run

For the early birds, this time along the scenic Fjellveien.

08:00 · Breakfast & coffee

10:00 · Side events

You can choose between a range of experiences, all designed to spark great conversations and new connections. One group will climb the infamous Sherpa steps up Mount Ulriken, Bergen’s tallest mountain, rewarded with incredible views and coffee at the summit. We will take the cable car back down to the base. Another group will enjoy a sauna and cold plunge (and perhaps a cold beer?). A third group will head out on a bike ride through the city, with historic tales from the days when Vikings roamed these streets, and music from Bergen composer Edvard Grieg. Or Burzum, if Norwegian black metal is more your thing. Hey, we can do both.

13:00 · Lunch

We refuel and rehydrate.

15:00 · Content sessions

Condensed, focused and highly curated for max impact. A mix of fireside chats and panel conversations.

18:30 · Dinner at Cornelius

A boat will pick us up at Bergen’s most famous landmark, Bryggen, and take us to Cornelius Restaurant, an experience that blends nature, seafood and atmosphere at one of Norway’s most distinctive dining venues. The restaurant is located on a small island in the archipelago, where the weather and the sea set the agenda for the kitchen. During the crossing, we will take in spectacular views of the fjord, mountains and surrounding archipelago. And of course, the conversations sparked during the content sessions will continue.

22:30 · Afterparty

The boat will take us back to Bryggen, where the afterparty begins.
