​Make words look cool through type animation.

​We will learn to make typographic animations using Cavalry, a free animation program.

​In this workshop, students will gain an understanding of the basics of Cavalry, type animation, and the effects library that will expand their understanding of motion. This workshop is a great way to learn a new skill utilizing free software.

​Hello! I’m Leyla and I’m a Brooklyn based designer. I majored in Graphic Design and minored in Printmaking/Political Science at Maryland Institute College of Art. I’m a mixed media artist that primarily focuses on bookmaking, printmaking, and multimedia art. I study how art making can portray the longing of memory and what mediums can be used. I want to learn how to preserve the structure of an emotion attached to a memory. I’ve worked with animation designs projected onto walls, book making illustrations, and printmaking linocuts.
