About Event

In a crowded and polarized media landscape, facts alone rarely drive change. What shapes public opinion, policy decisions, and collective action are the stories people hear, trust, and share. Yet many social impact efforts still treat communications as an afterthought, rather than as a core driver of change.

This discussion explores how storytelling, media, and creative practice can be used more intentionally to shift mindsets, influence behavior, and build movements. How do we craft narratives that cut through the noise and resonate across different audiences? What role can independent media, arts, and grassroots storytelling play in shaping public will?

We will also examine storytelling as a form of power. Who gets to tell the story, whose voices are amplified, and how do we ensure narratives are ethical and grounded in lived experience? From local campaigns to global movements, the session will explore how communication strategies can move beyond awareness to mobilize action and influence policy at scale.
