About Event

Brand Camp is a virtual summit for marketers who are building brands with depth. Your brand isn’t your logo, or your content, or your product, or your website. Your brand is the feeling people get when they interact with each of these important pieces. It’s every touchpoint. Every decision. Every time. It’s about strategy, soul, and the systems behind brands that win.

In this virtual summit, we’re digging into what it really takes to build a brand that connects, converts, and stands the test of trends. You’ll learn from marketers, creators, and founders who’ve done the work building brands that mean something to their communities and their business growth.

From the nitty-gritty (but very important) details to your zoomed out brand strategy and product representation, you’ll get insights on new trends and building blocks to build brand foundations that will strengthen your identity and shorten your to-do list.

Here’s what your day will look like:

9:00 - 9:50 a.m. — Features to Feelings: Product Marketing's Role in Brand Building with Evan Hallward, Product Marketing Lead at Wealthsimple

In this session, we'll break down the fundamentals of product marketing and the role it plays in building a brand. We'll share real anecdotes and output on product marketing practices with examples for some of Canada's leading innovators. Like most marketing functions, Product Marketing is a mix of art, science, and working with others. We'll explore this together.

You’ll learn:

  • What is Product Marketing?

  • How is it practiced at companies today?

  • The importance of Product Marketing for brand building

  • How could it apply to your business or practice?

About the speaker: Evan Hallward has been in the B2B tech space for over 10 year, holding roles in sales, marketing, and as a founder. Today, Evan leads Product Marketing for Wealthsimple for Business, the B2B side of Canada's fastest growing financial innovator. Evan completed the Growclass course in his time as a founder to round out his growth and marketing toolset.

10:00 - 10:50 a.m. — Finding and scaling your brand voice in an age of robots and noise with Sarah Stockdale, CEO & Founder of Growclass

AI can help you build faster—but it can’t tell you who you are. In a time when everyone is outsourcing their voice to the algorithm, your edge is sounding unmistakably human. In this workshop, Sarah Stockdale will guide you through defining a brand voice that feels true to your values, resonates with your customers, and actually cuts through the noise.

You’ll learn how to collaborate with AI without losing the plot—and build a voice that scales with clarity, confidence, and real personality.

About the speaker: Sarah Stockdale is the Founder and CEO of Growclass, an award-winning education company helping women and underrepresented professionals learn practical skills in marketing and AI to grow their careers. Growclass has a global alumni network of thousands of founders and marketers. Sarah also serves as the co-lead of AI Skills Lab Canada, a national initiative focused on upskilling women, non-binary, and trans-fem business owners in AI.

11:00 - 11:50 a.m.— Brand Design: Rebrand? Refresh? Reinforce? with Sarah Wilby, Partner & Creative Director at Borealis Creative Agency

Every brand eventually hits a crossroad: Do you evolve, overhaul, or double down on what’s already working? In this session, you’ll walk through the decision-making process behind rebranding vs. refreshing vs. reinforcing your existing brand, gaining the confidence to chart your next move with strategy. You’ll learn how to assess what your brand really needs, and where visual branding decisions may hold you back or accelerate your growth.

You’ll walk away with:

  • A practical framework for deciding if it’s time to rebrand, refresh, or refine

  • Real examples of what successful brand evolution can look like (without burning everything down)

  • Key signals to watch for that your brand might be misaligned with your audience or market

About the speaker: Sarah WIlby is a creative leader known for building smart brand strategy and transforming it into meaningful, effective design. Whether she’s building integrated brand campaigns or guiding teams and clients through creative challenges, she brings a passionate and grounded approach to every project. She is currently Partner and Creative Director at Borealis Creative Agency, after building her career at several leading branding agencies.

1:00 - 1:50 p.m. — Community as a Brand Asset & Building Trust Within AI Noise with Daniel Francavilla, Content & Brand Strategist at Daniel Does & Clarity Content

Your community isn’t a channel, it’s a brand asset. AI makes “average” content effortless, attention is fragmented, and trust is harder to earn. Community is one of the few strategies that compounds: it turns values into visible proof, builds human credibility, and still drives retention and referrals. In this session, Daniel will break down how to design community in a way that reinforces what your brand stands for, creates repeatable participation, and keeps you in the right conversations — even in a noisy, same-y market.

What you’ll learn:

  • Why community is a brand asset in 2026 (not a channel), and how it builds trust and differentiation when AI drives content sameness.

  • How to turn brand values into visible proof — translating what you stand for into repeatable actions, partnerships, and moments people remember and share.

  • A practical framework to design participation (not just followers), so community supports retention and referral.

  • A simple momentum plan focused on what to start and what to measure.

About the speaker: Daniel is a marketer, educator and founder obsessed with community, brand and impact. He is a Certified Brand Strategist, a professor at OCAD University, a member of the Canadian Marketing Association and RGD, and recipient of a 40 Under 40 Award. Daniel works with founders, leaders and their teams on aligned branding, content strategy, and storytelling through Daniel Does and Clarity Content. As an advocate for social good, Daniel founded The Good Growth Company to provide training for social good organizations to upskill their teams and scale their mission. He continues to support ACCESS, a nonprofit he founded as a student in 2006, which provides funding and mentorship for youth-led initiatives.

2:00 - 2:50 p.m. — The Last Great Advantage—Mastering Public Speaking, Humanity’s Superpower to Succeed in the AI Era with Jay Acunzo, Speaking & Storytelling Consultant

In the AI era, there is one skill that remains defensible, irreplaceable, and more important than before. It increases your value everywhere and ensures others want to align with you and take action because of you: public speaking.

No ChatGPT prompt can replace it. No Claude terminal is taking the stage at their event. Gemini isn’t speaking to boards, teams, prospects, or partners.

This is the last—and biggest—competitive edge in growing our businesses, our careers, and our causes.

In this practical, engaging session, Jay will show you how to make public speaking your superpower. He will dissect real examples from standout speakers, extract their frameworks, and give you tools to immediately apply. You’ll leave with concrete techniques that work—and the confidence to make your next talk your best one yet.

Because in a world where AI can do pretty much everything, the one thing it can't do is stand in front of another person or group and deliver with the presence, conviction, and human connection that turns ideas into action. This is the last great advantage.

You’ll learn:

  • A repeatable structure to develop presentations with less stress and greater impact.

  • The 3 missing elements from most talks, and how to wield them

  • How to ensure people lean in, take notes, and take action when you speak

About the speaker: Jay Acunzo helps business leaders become stronger speakers and storytellers, so they can differentiate and resonate. After working in media and marketing roles at brands like Google and HubSpot, Jay wrote the book Break the Wheel and began touring globally as a keynote speaker. Brands like Mailchimp, Salesforce, Wistia, and GoDaddy, plus dozens of individual authors, founders, execs, and creators trust Jay to develop their stories, speeches, and thought leadership.
