Introduction to Futures-Making Course
Introduction to Futures-Making
A hands-on 4-session study circle on imagining futures, building scenarios, and speculative design
As part of The Green Living Room program, Kulturrummet invites you to join a short, practical course in futures-making. The Green Living Room explores how climate issues can become more understandable and actionable in everyday life — and futures-making is one way to do that.
Instead of only talking about problems, we practice imagining possible futures, noticing what is changing around us, and experimenting with small ideas that could shape a better tomorrow.
This course is hands-on. You will make, map, write, sketch, and build simple prototypes together with others. No prior experience is needed.
What you will do
Learn simple tools to explore “what might happen next”
Create scenarios connected to everyday life (home, city, work, community)
Use speculative design exercises to make ideas visible and discussable
Work with others and leave with practical methods you can reuse
