GenTalks w/ Kyle Kesterson
Hey everyone,
This Wednesday 10-11am PT / 1-2pm ET is our weekly digital get together to connect on how we are all making our way through this new era for creative industries and AI among other emergent technologies, sharing ideas, tips, knowledge amongst ourselves.
Our group is an amazing mix of creators/ producers/ builders/ some new to this stuff/ some OG/ all of us constantly learning.
This week our guest is:
Kyle Kesterson is a product builder, AI strategist, and serial founder with 20 years at the intersection of design, storytelling, and technology. He helped launch Apple's first mobile apps at the birth of Deloitte Digital — including early experiences for CNN, the US Army, and MTV — then founded two TechStars-backed companies that shipped real-time character avateering and instant animation tools back in 2010. Along the way, he co-invented the Funko POP! toy line, working with 60+ global licensors on what became a multi-billion dollar IP. He's been building with AI since being embedded with Microsoft Kinect in 2010 and partnering with IBM Watson and Amazon Alexa's earliest voice teams — long before "AI" was a job title.
Today Kyle runs Demystified.ai, where he embeds directly with creative and production teams to build AI workflows, agentic co-pilots, and automation pipelines. He's also building Futuro, an AI-native startup creating an agentic producer and organizational workspace for GenAI creator teams. He teaches AI for creative professionals at Experience House and Spark Academy, covering 40+ tools across creative and agentic systems. When he's not building the future, he's living in a treehouse at the foot of a volcano outside Quito, Ecuador — with a llama, a donkey, and a dog — which honestly feels about right for someone who once brought Sam Altman to Burning Man months before ChatGPT launched.
