Navigating the U.S. Naturalization Process Part 1: Foundations & Benefits
This free two-part series is designed to help U.S. permanent residents understand the process of becoming a U.S. Citizen. Led by Sherry Nohara, Managing Attorney at Noha Immigration, she’ll provide information on the requirements for naturalization and explain the most recent changes to immigration policy.
In this first session, Sherry will explain the core requirements for naturalization and the practical differences between being a Green Card holder and a U.S. Citizen. We’ll discuss why many people choose to naturalize, focusing on benefits like the right to vote, the ability to travel with a U.S. passport, and expanded rights for petitioning family members. You’ll also learn about the basic eligibility rules, including age requirements and the responsibilities that come with citizenship.
Because the second session builds on the first, we highly recommend that you attend both dates to get a complete picture of the application process. Sign up for the second session on Saturday, May 30 at https://luma.com/lm1ct7rg
