Of Disaster & Dignity - Participatory Exhibition
Step into a powerful, quiet space for reflection and inspiration
From Disaster to Dignity is a photo exhibition rooted in stories of strength, dignity, and human potential. Through the lens of Anshu Gupta, founder of Goonj, it offers a vibrant glimpse into how communities turn disruption into possibility - responding to floods, earthquakes, the pandemic, and other crises with creativity, resilience, and collective spirit.
Visitors are invited not just to view, but to contribute. As you walk through the space, you’ll be invited to reflect on your own memories of resilience and to share photos, memories, or words that have shaped your journey. These will become part of a co-created, evolving artwork in the gallery.
This is a space for climate practitioners, connectors, funders, artists, and anyone who wants to do more about sustainable ways of addressing climate change, unlocking the collective power of the human spirit.
Come as you are. Leave a little lighter, a little more connected, and a little more ready.
The exhibition is open at various times throughout NY Climate Week. If this time doesn’t work for you, simply browse to a time that does and RSVP to save your spot.
