Healing for the Climate: Community Acupuncture & Sound Bath:
This unique shared healing experience is designed especially for climate activists, community members, and anyone navigating climate grief. In a nurturing open space, participants will rest comfortably in anti-gravity chairs and receive gentle acupuncture treatments from Dr. Elizabeth and Amanda.

While the acupuncture works to restore balance in the body, a live sound bath of singing bowls will flow through the room, deepening relaxation and enhancing the treatment’s benefits. Fully clothed and held in community, participants will share in a collective practice of renewal—supporting both individual well-being and resilience for the work of caring for our planet.

Dr. Elizabeth Swallow believes in treating the whole person with compassion, curiosity, and skill, drawing from both Western and Eastern modalities to support balance in body, mind, and spirit. She holds a Doctorate in Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture/Herbs from Pacific College of Health and Science, a Master’s in Traditional Chinese Medicine, and degrees in Art History and Cultural Anthropology from UCSD. With training in craniosacral therapy, somatic education, emotional liberation techniques, and movement practices such as Biodynamic Craniosacral Movement and Authentic Movement, she integrates diverse approaches into her treatments. A former professional dancer and teacher, Elizabeth brings a deep understanding of movement, emotion, and ritual into her work, guiding patients toward sustainable health through functional daily practices that ground lasting change.

Amanda Carrillo is a holistic health and wellness practitioner dedicated to mind–body integration, healing, and education. She holds a Health Coach Certification from the Institute of Integrative Nutrition (IIN) and is a RYT-200 certified Yoga Instructor through Yoga Alliance. Her training also includes Integrated Movement Therapy and Yoga Therapy from the Samarya Center, blending somatic awareness and therapeutic practice.
