Global Sustainability Challenge: Regional Finale
The Global Sustainability Challenge – South Asia Regional Finale will be held at IIT Bombay, bringing together innovative student teams working towards solving pressing sustainability challenges.
The Global Sustainability Challenge is an annual international competition where students from across the world design, implement, and present real-world sustainability solutions. The initiative is supported by a Stanford-led collective of leading educational institutions and global experts, aiming to empower youth to drive meaningful environmental and social impact.
This regional finale will showcase projects developed by students focusing on two major themes:
Sustainable Energy
Projects that develop scalable and impactful solutions to reduce emissions while improving affordability and reliability in the energy sector. This includes innovations in clean energy generation, transmission, distribution, and storage.
Adaptation & Resilience
Projects that enhance the resilience of communities, infrastructure, and natural systems against climate change impacts. This includes solutions related to disaster preparedness, climate-smart agriculture, water security, resilient infrastructure, and more.
We invite students, researchers, and sustainability enthusiasts to attend and explore innovative student-led projects, interact with changemakers, and be part of a global community working toward sustainable development.
The challenge aims to educate, inspire, and mobilize youth worldwide to take action toward sustainability and climate resilience.
