Critical Power Infrastructure Hackathon
Time to Secure Europe’s Critical Power Infrastructure ⚡️
Join 120+ hackers, engineers, and energy professionals from across Europe for the Critical Power Infrastructure Hackathon, taking place in Hamburg from June 26 to 28, 2026.
Europe’s power grid is becoming more complex—and more vulnerable. Physical sabotage, cyber attacks on renewable assets, and cascading failures have exposed critical weaknesses, while aging infrastructure must now handle distributed renewables, EVs, batteries, and millions of connected devices—dramatically expanding the attack surface and operational complexity.
Over three days, you’ll work in teams to prototype solutions that strengthen the resilience and security of real-world energy infrastructure, from identifying critical grid vulnerabilities and monitoring remote assets to designing recovery systems and risk assessment tools. Collaborate with engineers and operators, receive expert feedback, and build solutions with real deployment potential.
On Friday, we will kick off with an optional War Games session—an interactive simulation where participants step into realistic energy infrastructure crisis scenarios, such as cyberattacks or physical grid disruptions. In small teams, you’ll analyze what’s happening, identify vulnerabilities, and develop response strategies, gaining practical insight into how critical power systems can be protected and restored under real-world conditions.
See you in Hamburg!
