Enlightenment Evening: Ten Years On with Lord Elliott of Mickle Fell
Lord Elliott’s book, Ten Years: On The Untold Story of Brexit – Reflections on a Life of Campaigning, charts the course of his life in campaigning, with a particular focus on the EU referendum campaign and his role as Chief Executive of the Vote Leave campaign.
Lord Elliott will reflect on where Brexit is now and the missed opportunity of not using Brexit freedoms to pursue the free-market policies which generate prosperity, as we look towards the next general election that is set to be a choice between those who will use post-Brexit freedom to pursue those policies versus parties who will not. He will also look to share the lessons he has learnt from his decades of experience of political campaigning for the next generation who want to change the political weather in favour of free markets.
Lord Elliott of Mickle Fell is a Conservative life peer in the House of Lords. Before becoming a lord of the realm, Lord Elliott founded the TaxPayers' Alliance and Big Brother Watch, and played pivotal roles in the NOtoAV and Vote Leave referendum campaigns of the 2010s.
