About Event

The world doesn’t need more climate doom. It needs climate heroes.

Join EY, Climate Innovation Capital and Good is the New Cool for a Toronto Climate Week morning featuring the Canadian premiere of The Solutionaries, a documentary series that introduces the innovators rewriting what’s possible in sustainability.

From Lisa Dyson’s Air Protein to Cyrill Gutsch’s Parley for the Oceans, these are the stories of people taking action and building solutions to real climate challenges.

Following the screening, join a fireside conversation between Nelson Switzer, a leader in climate innovation and author of The Gigacorn Hunter, and Afdhel Aziz, Co-Founder of Good is the New Cool and a leading purpose driven storyteller. Moderated by Dan Zilnik, Partner, Sustainability Advisory at EY Canada, the discussion will explore what it takes to find and fund the next generation of Gigacorns: billion-dollar companies capable of drawing down a billion tonnes of carbon, and how the path to net zero is shaping business, investment and innovation.

Date: Tuesday, June 2, 2026
Time: 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.
Location: Toronto
