Events Attendance Agreement
Code of Conduct
By attending the event, you agree to be considerate and respectful of all event attendees, sponsors, hosts, and staff. You must follow the event venue’s rules and policies and all applicable laws. You may not engage in harassment, including sexual harassment, discrimination, demeaning conduct, threatening or intimidating language or conduct, or inappropriate photography or video recording. You may not destroy or vandalize any personal property, event materials, or the event site. If you violate these rules, Statsig, Inc. (“Statsig”) may remove you from the event without warning or refund and may involve law enforcement. Statsig may also ban you from future events.
Liability Waiver and Release
Your attendance at the event is voluntary and at your own risk. You assume all risks associated with your attendance and participation in the event. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, you and your successors and assigns release Statsig, its officers, directors, employees, agents, affiliates, sponsors, and representatives (collectively, the “Released Parties”) from any and all liability, claims, demands, actions, and causes of action whatsoever arising out of or related to any loss, damage, injury, illness, or death that may occur during or as a result of your participation in the event. You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the Released Parties from any and all claims, liabilities, damages, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) arising from (a) your conduct at the event, (b) your breach of this Agreement, or (c) your violation of any applicable law or regulation.
Photo and Video Release
Statsig may photograph and record the event. By attending, you grant Statsig and its designees an irrevocable, perpetual, worldwide, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, modify, distribute, sublicense, publicly display, publicly perform, and create derivative works from any photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, or other media that captures your name, likeness, image, voice, statements, or other personal attributes (collectively, “Media”) taken during or in connection with the event. Statsig may use the Media alone or in combination with other materials, in any format or medium now known or hereafter developed, for any lawful purpose, including but not limited to marketing, advertising, social media, publications, and commercial purposes. All intellectual property rights in the Media, including copyrights, shall be the exclusive property of Statsig. You will not be entitled to compensation, approval rights, or attribution, and you waive and release the Released Parties from any claims by you or any third party related to the capture, use, or distribution of the Media.
Marketing Communications
By providing your contact information, you consent to receive marketing communications from Statsig and event sponsors via email. You may opt out of receiving marketing communications at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link included in our emails or otherwise contacting Statsig as specified in its Privacy Policy. Your opt-out will not affect transactional or relationship communications related to events you have registered for or attended. Statsig’s collection, use, and protection of your personal information is governed by Statsig’s Privacy Policy, available at https://www.statsig.com/privacy. By attending this event, you acknowledge that you have reviewed and agreed to Statsig’s Privacy Policy.
Changes to Event
Statsig reserves the right to change the event schedule, location, format, or speakers, or to cancel the event, at any time for any reason (including reasons beyond Statsig’s reasonable control such as severe weather, acts of God, fire, explosion, terrorist acts or threats, any industrial action or widespread illness). Statsig will not be liable to you for any cost or other expenses incurred by you as a result (including, without limitation, registration, travel, or accommodation expenses).
Miscellaneous
This Agreement shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict of laws principles. If any provision of this Agreement is held to be invalid, illegal, or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect. No waiver of any provision of this Agreement shall be deemed or shall constitute a waiver of any other provision. This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the parties and supersedes all prior communications and agreements relating to your attendance at the event.
