World Premiere: Lost Canon
Lost Canon is a bold new filmmaking initiative exploring the stories, artifacts, cultures, places, and histories that never existed, but perhaps should have.
Produced by Moonmax and powered by CapCut Video Studio, 10 internationally selected filmmakers and digital creators were commissioned to create original AI-native short films that challenge the boundaries between fiction, memory, history, and speculative world-building.
Premiering for the first time at Raindance Film Festival 2026, the collection offers a glimpse into the future of independent filmmaking and the creative possibilities unlocked by next-generation AI tools.
