Vibe Coding Tokyo: build with AI
This is a meetup for anyone who wants to explore, take their ideas and turn them into tangible prototypes. Our experienced mentors are joining to support and take you through the latest AI building assistants. No overpromises on what AI can or cannot do, and no coding experience required as we're happy to help you get started from scratch.
This meetup is also a good moment to (re)visit building with AI in case you are joining one of the hacking events during Japan Blockchain Week, like the ETHTokyo hackathon.
Good to know: this gathering takes place nearby the Web3Privacy Now event happening later that day.
What You'll Experience:
In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn how to guide AI tools with prompts to generate functional components, bringing your ideas to life.
AI-Powered Development: Discover how AI is transforming the landscape of (decentralized) application creation, making it more accessible than ever before.
Hands-on Vibe Coding: Learn effective prompting techniques to instruct powerful AI tools like Cursor and Lovable. If you have your own preference for instance using ChatGPT, Gemini, Windsurf, Claude, v0, Replit or one of many others to generate code you are also more than welcome
Build your parts: could be a contract structure, a frontend to connect with wallets, NFT metadata generator, etc. Get practical experience in creating a tangible application using AI assistance.
Integrate and Experiment: Learn how to take AI-generated code and integrate it into a project, experimenting with its functionality.
Testing and Iteration: Discover how to evaluate the output of AI code generation and refine it through further prompting and basic adjustments.
Connect with fellow creators: There are a lot of individuals exploring the exciting intersection of AI and Web3.

If you already have an AI tool preference, it helps to set up an account or we can help you on the spot.
If you want to interact with certain blockchains it can be helpful to have a wallet browser extension installed like MetaMask
Prior Knowledge:
Basic understanding of Web3 concepts (like wallets and smart contracts) would be beneficial but not mandatory. No prior programming is strictly necessary, but a basic understanding of blockchain concepts will be helpful.
