About Event
Overview
Carbon pricing is a key pillar of climate policy. Across Asia–Pacific, Taiwan has launched its carbon fee mechanism, Japan is advancing the GX-ETS, and Korea has entered Phase 4 of the K-ETS.
As global pressures mount — from the EU’s CBAM to rising protectionist rhetoric — countries face growing challenges in sustaining carbon pricing momentum.
To address these, the Taiwan Climate Action Network (TCAN) brings together experts from Korea, Japan, and Taiwan to discuss implementation hurdles, links to NDC 3.0, and the influence of geopolitics on policy design.
