About Event

About the session
Many of the most curious builders, funders, and innovators in the social sector are asking the same question: what does it actually take to scale solutions that prevent harm before it happens?

This candid session brings together Kelsey Morgan, CEO of EverFree, Julie Cordua, CEO of Thorn, and a leading funder to explore that question from the inside.

Rather than a traditional panel, the session will take the form of a live interview. Kelsey will draw out Julie’s journey building Thorn into a Skoll Award and Audacious Prize winning organization, alongside a funder’s perspective on what it takes to support bold, human-centered innovations with the potential to scale.

The conversation will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the decisions, risks, and partnerships required to move from promising technology to real-world impact. It will also explore what it means to work upstream on prevention, and the ecosystem of founders, funders, and collaborators needed to make that possible.
