GenJam (AI Creative Advertising Jam)
Machine Cinema is the largest global community for AI filmmakers and creative technologists, with over 2,000 members, 10,000 newsletter subscribers, and hubs across 30+ cities. They conduct over 100 in-person events per year and run training programs with organizations including Google, ByteDance, OpenAI, Runway, Luma, Kling, Hailuo, R/GA, McCann, TBWA\Chiat\Day, NYU, LMU, Fordham, and others. And they are bringing a GenJam to Yale.
GenJam is a fast, hands-on creative jam where teams use leading generative AI tools to build a short advertising concept from idea to assets in a single session. It blends the energy of a mini film festival, a hackathon, and a workshop, designed for anyone curious about how AI is reshaping marketing, media, and creative work. You will hear brief insights from industry guests, see tool demos, then jump straight into making.
Come if you’re into marketing, brand, product, media, design, entrepreneurship, or you just want to learn by building. No experience required. We’ll match you into a team, and you’ll leave with a finished project such as a 15 to 30 second spot, a storyboard, or a campaign concept, along with practical fluency in modern AI creative workflows.
Date: Mon, Apr 20
Time: 3:00–7:00 PM
